Several golf groups exist at North Ridge to add to the pleasure of participating in group events. Two groups are available for women - the 18-Hole Ladies and the Niners. Men over the age of 55 can join the Seniors golf group, and all proprietary men can participate in play days and team play. And, of course, many events at North Ridge are designed for couple's play.
18-Hole Ladies Club
The 18-Hole Ladies Club is open to women who have a 36 handicap or better. Normal play days are Thursday mornings and offer a variety of different events, including team play, guest days, invitational, handicap tournament, club championship, etc. Dues for the group are $75 per year. Handicap fees are billed separately at $36 per year. To sign up for the group just contact the Ladies' Captain who can give you all the details.
Niners
The Niners Golf Group is much like the 18-Holers, but they limit themselves to nine holes of golf at a time and play on Tuesday mornings. There is no handicap limit for the Niners, which makes it a perfect group to join for the beginning lady golfer. Rules, etiquette, swing fundamentals, and all the fun tournaments are enjoyed by the Niners. Dues are $75 per year which includes the handicapping fee. See the Niner's Captain for more information.
Senior Golf Association
The men's Senior Golf Association is a very active group at North Ridge. Any man turning 55 or older can join the group with the payment of a one-time $15 initiation fee. Yearly dues are $12.
Senior events each year include Senior Fun Day, Senior Championship and Senior Invitational tournaments, and the popular Central Valley Seniors tour where Seniors are invited to play in specially arranged tournaments at each of nine other nearby country clubs. More details regarding the Seniors are posted on the bulletin board in the men's locker room.

Tournaments
The men at North Ridge have plenty of tournaments to choose from, including the Hello HiLo, Guest Days, Scramble, President's Cup, Ridge Runner Invitational, Club Championship, etc. See the Pro Shop staff for more information regarding the men's tournament schedule.
Couples Activities
Couples enjoy a host of events at the club. From May until mid-August the ever-popular Twilight Golf is conducted with a 5:30 P.M. shotgun start and followed by a buffet dinner, check the ForeTees calendar or call the pro-shop for dates. A Mr. & Mrs. Championship highlight couples competition each year, as do the favorite tournaments on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.
Junior Golf
The young ones are not forgotten at North Ridge. A very successful Junior Golf Program is conducted by the Pro Shop each summer. Also open to members' grandchildren, the juniors are segmented into different groups according to playing ability. Golf instruction includes clinics, actual playing, and some light competition. In addition to the Junior program is the Junior Club Championship and the Junior-Senior Championship, both held every August, and our new Winter Junior program held during winter break, check ForeTees for dates.
